SW trip, Saturday

Back in the desert heat.  At least I've descended from over 8800 feet a bit (think I'm at about 4300 now) and can breathe. Lord but it's dry! My nose is not happy.  But there's oxygen, so.

Page is a bit rundown but surrounded by stunning nature. I've checked into a quirky little motel, quite spacious; they gave me way too many bedrooms. Off to explore dams and lakes and such.

When I first saw Hawaii, I thought it must be the most spectacular place on the planet (I was young). Then last year the Alps. Now I'm in awe once again. Vermillion Cliffs, Lake Powell, the Arizona desert...they leave me breathless.
