random pickup

So I find myself, tired and decrepit, feet propped up on a Louis XIV, twenty feet over and thirty feet above the Rue de Rivoli in Paris.  The French doors open to view the Jardin de Tuileries directly across, the Louvre to the left, the Eiffel Tower and other skyline delights to the right.  We await dinner, drifting through the jet lag and time shift with determined joy, breathing in, saturating in the beauty that is Central Paris.  It is Good Friday, 2010.  Sunday morning should find us lurking around the edges of Easter services at Notre Dame.  Monday will be our 25th wedding anniversary.  What a lovely trip, planned by Pete, executed largely by Melinda, indulged in by both....will our 50th be on the moon?
