foreign signs
Was cleaning out the ol' office - found a small spiral notebook from a few years back. Mostly notes, numbers and to-do's from yore, trash. But it was also where I noted some fun English signs in Greece, August, 2001. Seems to be predominantly food items. Wonder what that's about. :)
"spaggetti"
"sandwitch"
"youart"
"coktail sos"
"fresh fisch oposite"
in salad: "picled vegetables, one thousand islands"
"top quallite hande made"
"frizen sguid"
"saucages"
"rice at meat with"
"mussles, octapus, red snapper, shrims"
"otuapus, rise and vegetable"
All perfectly understandable, which is the point of language, yes?
